The major talking point at Anfield on Monday has of course surrounded the club’s work on the transfer front.

Whilst one fresh face being added to the heart of Klopp’s defence today did not come as too much of a surprise, though, few could have predicted the Reds pulling off a pair of deadline day deals.
This comes with Liverpool’s boss, for much of last month, having insisted that it was altogether unlikely that a new stopper would be making the move to Anfield mid-season.
